Kids Yoga and Mindfulness on Zoom!

Yoga and mindfulness for kids! Join us as we move through fun yoga poses, learn various breathing and mindfulness techniques geared toward kids and have fun through movement, breath, play and crafts! We can offer online mindfulness programs to kids of all ages. If you are interested for your child or school, please contact Sara. Programs can be designed to suit the needs of individuals or groups.

Join Sara, a certified yoga teacher, to participate in fun movements and postures with engaging music, sing familiar songs with yoga poses, take trips around your room to find different animals and do their poses and more! The program is ideal for kids age 2-5, however we are flexible and baby siblings are always welcome. Yoga is a great way to teach mindfulness, body awareness, breathing techniques and more!

Winter Yoga Retreat

Join Sara Coblyn, yoga and mindfulness teacher, garden educator and Sweet Roots Gardens founder, in a winter retreat of yoga and meditation. The darkness of winter is a great time to take some space for yourself to reflect and set intentions for the year and rekindle your inner light. We will use a slow vinyasa, followed by a long, guided savasana and a period of meditation to go deep. When we take more time for our practice, and open our attention with meditation, we can access a deeper, inner wisdom. Embracing the darkness outside and within allows us to contact the dark with compassionate presence. We can learn and grow from opening in this way and discover the strength of our own inner light. Leave refreshed for the year ahead and with some meditation tools to deepen your practice on and off the mat.

Mindfulness in the Schools

Online resources and technical assistance are available to teachers, staff and administrators interested in incorporating mindfulness into their programs. This can be especially useful during the times we are currently experiencing.

Sara Coblyn, the founder of Sweet Roots Gardens, has been trained in the Mindful Schools program, a professional organization that is a key player in the mindfulness in education movement. Sara mixes her background in yoga and education with the mindful school programs to offer an innovative mindful yoga program to elementary age students. She is available to deliver programming directly to the students or to provide a teacher inservice to train staff to deliver this program in their classes, small group sessions or after school programs. Please contact Sara to see how mindfulness can support the children and teachers in your school.
